Budget 2012 is a work in progress, signaling some potentially significant changes in the way the federal government supports business innovation. A number of recommendations from the Jenkins Report were implemented, some were not and others were implicitly acknowledged for possible consideration in future budgets.
Our last conference in May 2012, focusing on the implications of Budget 2012 for innovation in Canada, was an overwhelming success. We have decided to continue the conversation at the 2013 conference by looking at Budget 2013 and what it signifies for emerging government policies, priorities, and strategies that affect Canada's innovation ecosystem and culture.
Tom Jenkins will give the opening keynote and Dave Watters will provide a similar analysis of Budget 2013 that he gave in May for Budget 2012.
We invite all contributors to Canada’s innovation ecosystem to join them and other key players for a lively discussion of the issues. There will be a reception and dinner on April 9th
