Fisher won the prize for her work Boys and Girls in No Man’s Land: English-Canadian Children and the First World War, published by University of Toronto Press, in which she examines the ways in which the First World War was represented in children’s literature and plays from the period. Watch a video of Susan Fisher discussing her work here.
