The Tom Jenkins-led expert panel on research and development in the private sector has released a report calling for changes to the government’s funding scheme for business innovation. Specifically, the report advises the government to rebalance the proportion of direct to indirect support it provides and allocate more money for start-ups to promote the implementation of Canadian-developed technology.
